Deefa MC started his rise through the ranks in late 90’s Manchester, before relocating to London and embarking on a mission to showcase his lyrical prowess. As co-promoter of one of London’s longest running d&b nights, Fizzy, now 7 years old, Deefa has garnered a reputation for his versatility and on-point lyrical flow, whatever the style, whatever the flavour.

Since being voted Best New MC in the Music4You Awards 2006/7 Deefa has proceeded to bag high profile residencies across the capital (Moondance/ Jungle Mania/ Liquid V/ Definition/ Ergh), has appeared at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues (Brixton Academy/ Ministry of Sound/ Bourenmouth Opera House/ Bristol Academy / Air (Birmingham)/ The End/ Scala/ Cable/ Bagleys/ Matter/ Turnmills) and has been booked by some the leading promoters in dance music (Sun & Bass/One Nation/ Innovation/ Breakin Science/ Under The Radar/ Let’s Go Crazy).

Now clocking up an average 100 gigs per year Deefa has travelled extensively across Europe spreading his sound (Spain/ Italy/ Holland/ Switzerland/ Belgium/ Finland/ Croatia) and has hosted for many of the heavyweights of the d&b scene (Andy C, Goldie, Roni Size, Hype, Fabio, Subfocus, Netsky, Teebee, Bailey).

Through all styles of d&b to dubstep and beyond to his own hip hop project, Deefa brings his infectious enthusiasm and a visible love for the music coupled with a lyrical dexterity and killer flow which have made him one of the most in demand MCs around today.
